Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026 · Applies to version 1.1.x of the Deadhead to Diesel King web game and Android/iOS apps (the “Game”).
The Game is operated by base2finaldesigns (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the Game does with your information today. Contact: deadheadtodieselkingsupport@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your game stays on your device. Your save (company name, cash, trucks, routes, stats and settings) is stored only in your browser or app storage. We don’t have a copy.
- No accounts, no sign-in. There’s nothing to register.
- No analytics, no ads, no in-app purchases, and no tracking or advertising IDs.
- Feedback is the only thing that reaches us, and only if you tap Send. It opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to us, and you can read, edit or cancel it before it goes.
- We never sell or share your feedback, or any other personal information.
1. Data that stays on your device
| Data | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Game save: company name you type, in-game cash, earnings, trucks, routes, contracts, stats, settings (such as sound), save timestamps, and a random ID the save code uses on this device | Your browser’s local storage (web) or the app’s private storage (Android/iOS). Never uploaded. | So you can keep playing where you left off, including offline progress |
| Recent console error and warning messages | In memory and on your device | So a Feedback report can include them, if you choose to send one |
| Unsent feedback | On your device, until it’s sent or you clear it | So a report isn’t lost if your email app doesn’t open |
“Reset save” in Settings deletes the save on that device. Clearing your browser’s site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything listed above. Because none of it is sent to us, we can’t see it, restore it or delete it for you.
The Game doesn’t use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. The map shows a fictional trucking network drawn on a public-domain map, not where you are.
2. Feedback you send us
Settings → Feedback, or the small Feedback button that appears on the map after about 10 minutes of play, lets you report a bug or send an idea. Nothing is sent until you tap Send. Tapping it opens your own email app with a message to deadheadtodieselkingsupport@gmail.com, and you can review, edit or delete the text before sending it. The message contains:
- the category you picked (Bug, Idea or Other) and the text you typed
- the Game version and build code
- your browser/app “user agent” string, which shows your device model and operating system version
- screen size, plus the map zoom and view you were looking at (a position on the in-game map, not your location)
- up to 10 recent error and warning lines from the Game’s console (technical messages for fixing bugs, not your gameplay history)
Your email app also sends us whatever it normally includes with an email, such as your email address and the name on your email account. No account ID, advertising ID or other device identifier is included, and neither is your company name or game save.
Copy report puts a fuller version of the report (up to 50 error and warning lines) on your clipboard instead, for you to paste into an email yourself. It goes nowhere unless you paste it somewhere.
How we use it: only to understand and fix problems, consider your ideas, and reply to you if needed. We don’t use it for advertising or marketing, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.
Who sees it: the email travels through your email provider and ours (Google, through Gmail), which handle it under their own privacy policies. We don’t sell, rent or share feedback with anyone else.
How long we keep it: up to 12 months after the issue is resolved, or sooner on request, then we delete it.
Deleting it: email deadheadtodieselkingsupport@gmail.com from the same address and ask us to delete your feedback. We’ll delete the messages and confirm within 30 days.
3. Services the Game relies on
| Provider | What it receives | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) | Hosts the web game and map files. Like any website, it receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads. | GitHub Privacy Statement |
| unpkg (web version only) | Delivers the open-source Leaflet map library, and receives your IP address as a normal web request. The Android/iOS apps include the library and don’t make this request. | unpkg.com |
| Google Play / Apple App Store | App download and updates, under their own terms. The Game doesn’t receive your store account details. | Google · Apple |
| Your email provider and ours | Feedback emails you choose to send | Google Privacy Policy |
We may disclose information if the law requires it. We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR/UK GDPR, or California and other US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to how we use it. In practice, the only personal information we hold is feedback emails you’ve sent. To make a request, email deadheadtodieselkingsupport@gmail.com. We won’t treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you’re in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. Legal basis (EEA/UK): our legitimate interest in answering you and fixing the Game, at your request.
5. Children
The Game isn’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us feedback, contact us and we’ll delete it.
6. Security
The web game is served over HTTPS. Feedback goes by ordinary email: most email providers encrypt mail in transit, but we can’t guarantee that for every provider, and email isn’t end-to-end encrypted. Please don’t put passwords or other sensitive information in feedback.
Coming in future versions; this section will be updated before they ship
None of the following is in version 1.1.x. Before any of it is released, we’ll rewrite this policy to describe it in full and update the effective date.
- Optional cloud saves and sign-in: guest play with an anonymous account ID, and optional sign-in with an email link, Sign in with Apple or Google, so you can move your save between devices. Saves would be stored with Supabase, along with simple fair-play checks on uploaded saves. You’d be able to delete your account and cloud data inside the Game and on a web page.
- Ads (mobile apps): Google AdMob, which may use your advertising ID. On iOS that would only happen with your permission through Apple’s tracking prompt, and EEA/UK users would see a consent message first.
- In-app purchases: handled by Apple and Google and managed through RevenueCat. We’d never see your card details.
- Optional screenshot with Feedback: instead of email, a report with a screenshot you choose to attach would be uploaded to our own server over HTTPS. We’d name the service and how long screenshots are kept here before it ships.
7. Changes
We’ll post any changes here and update the effective date. If the changes are significant, such as any feature from the list above, we’ll also tell you in the Game.
